What happens next

  1. Drag Control to Applications.

    It has to live there — macOS won’t load the camera extension from anywhere else.

  2. Open it. It lives in the menu bar.

    No Dock icon, no window in your way. macOS will ask once whether you’re sure — that’s the normal prompt for an app downloaded from the web.

  3. Grant Screen Recording and Accessibility.

    Control walks you through both. The first one asks you to reopen the app afterwards; that’s macOS, not a bug.

  4. Your device is already looking for it.

    On the same Wi‑Fi the Mac just appears by name — tap it, confirm the same six digits on both screens, and you’re in. No account, ever.

Control isn’t on the Mac App Store because capturing a screen and moving a cursor need entitlements the App Store sandbox doesn’t allow. It’s signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple, which is the same check the App Store runs for malware.
